How much oil for 2012 Mustang evap

Post by cooldude »

2012 Mustang base 3.7L V-6 convertible. Retrofitted Ford heater/evap core with 4Seasons evap core that I assume ships without any oil inside. I also replaced the accumulator as system has been vented for a while. I could not find much useful guidance on adding oil for Mustang component replacement as my manuals are based on recovery with dealer equip. I added 1.5 oz of Pag 46 to the system. I cut the removed accum and tried to drain any from the evap core. Very little yield. Did I add too much?

Thanks!

Evaporators, condensers, accumulators/driers ship without oil.

If you added 1.5 oz., I can say that you definitely did not add too much.
