Got a Ford Mustang SN95 4.6 convertible. The condenser was broke, we fixed it by welding and some green o-rings needed to be changed. The a/c system is tight now without leaks. A professional a/c shop filled the system with 700gram R134 refrigerant with the machine. The a/c is cooling but in my opinion not enough.

Few days later I added two 11" fans to the condensor but this made not any change.

Question is:
How can I get more cooling out of the a/c?

Is a new or a rebuild of the compressor required? How about the accumulator? Does this can cause low cooling too?

What model year is your SN95 Mustang, how much mileage has it logged, and does it have an original equipment R-134a A/C system?

Did you or the shop record the pressures at around 1,800 RPM after recharging it? If so, what was the ambient temperature on that day?

It is a 1997 with 230.000km

I have no odea about the recordings but the filler machine worked normal, otherwise the guys would have had told me that.

Your locale at 40°C equals about 104°F in the USA—very hot any way you look at it. What are the lowest center-dash vent temperatures you're seeing at an engine speed of about 1,800 RPM?

Your car has fairly high mileage on it. Do you happen to know whether it has the original A/C components, compressor, condenser, evaporator, etc.?

If local laws allow, have you tried tinting the windows? Window tinting often makes a marked difference in lowering cabin temperatures by reducing solar heating.
