Last fall bought two 1 inch long oil analizers. Depressed it three times onto the low port with car off. Hope that step was correct. It only showeed yellow about 1/3 way up the sight glass. Have a small bottle of bright yellow oil/leak addative to to inject a bit but want to ask the experts here. Does that sound like I should syringe add maybe another ounce or stop right there and ignor the little oil analizer test kit? thanks.Kits are available on Amazon that has the purple UV light and the tinted saftey glasses for about $20.00 up here.

I'm not familiar with the Oil Analyzer Test Kits that you mentioned. But as for the yellowish-green fluorescent dye, only a small amount should be added to the A/C system for leak-checking purposes, typically around one to two tablespoon's worth (about 1 fluid ounce or less). What you already added sounds like it should be enough. Double-check the instructions on the container or box for the manufacturer's specific recommended amount.

A special light and eyeglasses are also required to be able to detect the dye visually should a leak (or leaks) develop. A darkened garage in which you're working also is essential in being able to see the dye.

Nonetheless, leak seal should be avoided, it is suicide.....marketing!!!!
All the pros here will advise against it
