2017 Ford Explorer 3.5L ecoboost - condenser & drier replaced - how much pag oil?

Post by relentless85 »

I had to replace the condenser and drier on my 2017 ford explorer 3.5 ecoboost. How much pag oil should be put in when recharged since the condenser and drier were replaced? The sticker near the radiator says the total system amount is 7.3 FL OZ. i don't want to put too much in it.

The R/D is integrated with the condenser in your vehicle. If you replaced the old parts with a new condenser assembly—and taking an educated guess—allow 1-1/2 ounces for the R/D and 1/2 ounce for the condenser, adding a total of 2 ounces for front A/C only. For front and rear A/C, allow 2 ounces and 1 ounce respectively, adding a total of 3 ounces.
