Every time I get a new one I used to wonder if it's got any leaks (Oh, I worry about the AC equipment as well
.installing it immediately on the vehicle can reveal leaks in time to return defective items, but still the work to install a defective (Leaking) Evap core, condenser etc just to remove it, send it back, get a replacement and do it all again is daunting. So here's how I test my cores and any part that is supposed to hold pressure (by testing vacuum) before I use it.
Vacuum is the standard method for testing AC systems for pressure right? (I could use positive pressure of course but the stoppers might pop out)
This is mainly for those new to Automotive AC since I'm sure the Pros here have their way of doing it. Probably better. But this is a really cheap way I test mine before shelving them for the future...or immediate use. Show us your setup (and a link to a massive discount coupon please lol)
