More RV Problems

Post by philipswanson »

My Trans Air system works great until the three fans on the condensor come on and then the compressor clutch releases and falls off line. Could it be that the condensor is freezing up? Or?? I hate to just disconnect the fans.

Check for AC clutch slippage when the clutch gets hot.

I adjusted my own AC clutch gap last summer to fix a similar issue, removed a thin shim/spacer.

The compressor is new and the clutch is working fine. My low side is a little too low at 10-15 lbs and the high side is fine. The low side goes up to normal when I rev it past 1500.

Please provide both low and high side pressures at 1800 rpm when posting a problem.
Also ambient, and vent.
