A/C question

Postby ddsprint » Tue Jun 05, 2018 9:41 pm

no cold air, put some freon in and check with gauges, get good numbers 35 to 40 on the low, 242 to 252 on the high, temp 98 out, when the engine is turned off low just slowly climbs and peggs the low side out, high goes to about 150, i thought when engine off, high and low equalize, so what does it mean when this ocurrs,

there is still no cold air the other night put heater on and next day no air, thinking it is the heater control switch,

any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you

With those pressure readings, you should have a cold evap core. I would check diverter doors or hot water shut off valve.
