1970 Lemans with Fuel Injection

Post by 70Lemans »

I have recently completed a fuel injection conversion to a GM TBI system with a serpentine belt set up with A/C. This is a factory a/c car. Is it possible to retrofit a complete “modern” a/c system using modern components. I have researched the Chevy Caprice and am considering the following: new evaporator, drier, hoses to make the system work as if it’s factory. All of the original AC parts will be replaced with the exception of the controls. What major obstacles am I likely to encounter? Thanks

I am guessing you will be using R134A so you will need to address using a larger more efficient condenser.
