Source for this GM ambient temp sensor

Post by mike69 »

Guys,

I'm in the process of getting my AC running in my 70 GTO. One of the terminals on the ambient temp sensor is broken. I've looked at the vendors and car restoration sources and nobody seems to carry it. None on Ebay either. Does anyone have a source for this thing? Thanks for any help.

I haven't seen that sensor in decades, either. Have you tried asking a GM dealership to look it up for you in their old parts books and checking availability? Alternatively, can you repair the one you have by soldering the broken tab back on?

Or maybe just solder the wires directly to the sensor, ignoring the connector. The push pull on the connector is what is causing the problem

You tried eBay of course
