It's possible, but I don't think it's very likely. From what you said earlier, a large cloud of vapor came out. It holds only 20 ounces to begin with, so it seems to me that most of the charge was lost, plus some oil that was vaporized.

I think your best bet is as follows: Recover (or have it done) whatever refrigerant remains in the system; replace the HPCO and HPRV as mentioned earlier; change the accumulator; add back in a couple ounces (guessing) of PAG-46 oil; evacuate the system for at least a couple of hours; and then recharge by weight 20.0 ounces of virgin R-134a (without any sealers or other additives). Only then will you or the shop be able to diagnose the system further using a manifold gauge set and a vent thermometer.
