Re: Fresh air infiltration while in Recirculate Mode
Can't you see the recirc door move? or hear the difference when you command it to move either way? I have also used light weight plastic wrap to see if it clings to recirc screen/filter when it should.....have had a few lack of air flow issues with plastic wraps clinging to the recirc entrance....

Re: New to forum, looking for input on where to introduce PAG oil
I worked where we made the compressors you are talking about-- viscosity of oil will not cause harm- is not a big deal- they went back and forth- and when push came to shove, they used whatever oil most easily fit the bill- cost wise. I am more concerned when you say you flushed your system---why oh...

Re: 134A R4 conversion seal failure?
The seal leaks because it is not a double lip type seal. All GM shaft seals went to double lip style in '96- so you can replace the seal with a seal kit you can easily buy online. The type of refrigerant is not what causes the leaky shaft seals.

Re: A6 compressor shaft seal
That steel ring must be a replacement for the original ceramic ring design. I was not aware aftermarket went to a steel ring- since I don't use it anyway. Must be cheaper to use steel other than ceramic. Anyway, you throw the steel ring away as well...all you need is a double lip seal like what goes...

Re: A6 compressor shaft seal
Throw the ceramic seal and metal bird cage assembly away- the new double lip seal seats on a shoulder. the o-ring goes in the deep o-ring groove just above the shoulder, and the snap ring groove is the upper groove. The snap ring holds the new lip seal tight against the shoulder seat.

Re: Time sensitive question, 97 tahoe W/O rear air
wtf--- 45 degree ambient and you say pump is bad......????? Of course it kicks out right away, there is nothing to do....pump will only run when system pressure exceeds 47 psi-- and your ambient is right on top of that. Switches are doing their job.. Your truck is not a refrigerator- don't expect co...

Re: 2010 GMC Sierra cycling strange pressure readings
4 lbs????? sounds like an old suburban dual air----A sierra should be at about 2 lbs-- if no rear evaporator/single system- where is OT? in condenser outlet? or inline in front of evaporator

Re: Ford E6DH compressor
If you are flushing with anything other than refrigerant- then that is most likely your problem. Aftermarket flushing agents are degreasers- and you have to get all the flushing agent out of your system! Merely purging with air, or extended vacuums foes not do this. Your evap and condensers have mul...

Air comes out vents (only) when accelerating? Do you have vacuum controls for air doors in HVAC box? or electric controls? Yr make and model of car would give us more hints
