Strange compressor behavior Volvo V50
This is a Volvo V50 that was low on refrigerant. Evacuated and tried to fill it. Compressor clutch kicks in and spins the compressor but no work is done. High and low are not moving at all. Not the slightest bit. What could be the problem here?

Low suction pressure freezing up evap on Volvo S80
Trying to figure out why this Volvo S80 2003 never cuts out the AC compressor and why it has such a low suction pressure. AC works fine and cools very well but freezes up completley. I have evacuated and filled the system with 1000g R134a as label says. I suspected the evap temp sensor and removed i...

Re: High suction pressure and high head due to overfeeding expansion valve?
Thank you for helping! How can I fiddle wth the bulb on a cars expansion valve? I though everything is built into that solid block of the valve? Car is a 2003 Saab 9-5. I would really like to try manipulate the expansion valve to see if it changes.

Re: Car AC open to atmosphere for 2 years
That's the proper way to do it but money is limited so I might try to get away with a dryer change and new refrigerant charge after some days. Is that plain stupid? Removing the compressor is alot more work but on the other hand it could kill it if I don't...

High suction pressure and high head due to overfeeding expansion valve?
Did a AC job a Saab 9-5 today. Was low on ref so pulled a vacuum and weighted in the correct charge for it. Still did not work ok. Head was somewhat high at 225 psi for 75 ambient and the suction was way high at 60 psi. Fans working and condenser is clean. It's not over charged so could this be a st...

Car AC open to atmosphere for 2 years
First post! I got a customer with a leaking condenser in a Hyundai Santa Fe 2006. Problem is that it has been open to atmosphere for almost 2 years now. I will of course run a series of vacuum pulls and brake with nitrogen but will the new dryer take care of what's in the PAG oil? What would you do?...
