2004 Kia Sorento Compressor Replacement
Looking at doing this for a friend. Bearing is bad in the clutch. Do I get to it from the top, bottom, or remove the tire and inner fender well?

Re: 99 Chevy Truck
Found the problem. Found another fuse that had been removed. IGN E is how it was labeled. Installed a 10 amp fuse and everything worked.

Re: 99 Chevy Truck
There is a pressure switch on the back of the compressor.
I have put 24 oz of refrigerant in the system. Had to use a jumper wire at the relay to get the compressor to run though.

Re: 99 Chevy Truck
Installed new compressor, condenser, accumulator, orifice tube, hvac control module, and a 30 amp fuse. Only get power at the clutch if I jump the two pins at the relay. It doesn’t kill the motor anymore when I jump the pins at the relay.

99 Chevy Truck
I was diagnosing this truck yesterday. Compressor clutch wouldn’t engage. Two ac fuses in the cab checked good. Two smaller fuses under he hood checked good. The great big 30 amp fuse was gone. Installed a 60 amp for testing purposes and still no power at the clutch. Tried the ac relay where the hor...

Dodge Diesel Trucks Poor AC Performance
I’ve had three coworkers over the years ask me to check their ac on their diesel trucks. Always the same story, works ok, but not as cool as other vehicles they’ve drove. Didn’t find any problems on any of the three. Is it possible that the cooler running diesel motors don’t require the radiator coo...

Re: Slow Leak
I pressurized the system with a little refrigerant then ran the pressure up just above 110 psi with nitrogen last night. This morning it’s just below 110 psi. Used a liquid leak detector, think it’s called Birddog, and didn’t find any bubbles. Electronic detector not making any noise around the port...

Slow Leak
I put a compressor on a 92 Ford van about 4 years ago. It’s came back twice out of refrigerant. The van is only driven about once a month. The only dye I see is a light dusting around the clutch and drive plate. It held vacuum at 310 microns for a couple hours this morning. I’m going to pressure tes...

Micron Gauge
I was vacuuming an 89 Suburban yesterday. I had a micron gauge where the low pressure switch attaches o the accumulator. Shut the pump and valves off at 380 microns. Gauge went down to 330 after things were shut off. Let the system sit for 25 minutes and it went up to 350. Is it normal to see a decr...

Re: 92 S10 Truck Blows Air Out Floor Vent Only
New compressor installed. Still making noise. It’s a wore out power steering pump. Lots of in and out movement on the pump pulley.
