Re: 1987/1993/1996 Bronco AC upgrade...

That's a good link. I am a bit confused though and I might not have it right but... 93 and down - R12 - had a tube an fin condenser and some cans on the suction and discharge line. Not sure what those cans are for. 94-95 R134 had the parallel flow condenser, did away with the cans on the line and go...

So while I am here, where could I find the specs for the 1993 system? (amount of oil and charge). Would they have the parts or should I do what I was thinking a...

Re: Ford C350 Dual Air - trouble

Well, its been over a month. Still blowing cold. Had some days in the upper 90's, Works like it should. No leaks. Fingers crossed. 24 is not enough (elevation 2100ft), but it may be my gauges, or more specifically the rubber seals in the connections. I was working on my brothers truck, at least chec...

Re: Ford C350 Dual Air - trouble

I could not wait any longer. For the oil, here is my math. 7oz stock system + 4oz for rear system = total system 11oz. Deduct ~2oz for oil in evaporator = 9oz need to add to system. Deduct oil compressor came with 6oz (6.1oz) = 3oz to add. Poured about 3.25 oz into a measuring device and poured it i...

Re: Ford C350 Dual Air - trouble

I called Advanced Air, the ones who made the rear system. Because of the age of the system, he did not have any info on the rear system. However, he seemed to thing that putting in about 4oz would be correct.
I guess this is about the best info I have so far.
