Simple answer. If you hook up the gauge set and try to charge on the high side while the vehicle is running. You will blow your fingers off as you will be adding pressure into the can. So if you want to get in the debate on charging. People go to extremes. You can charge by a liquid on the low side....

It was claimed the parts are from Autozone. Doing a quick vehicle look-up, the show the Condenser mounted black/white. What they got I would not know. Best to ask the Autozone guy or match it up on the web.
Also, not trying to be vague on a number. OT's are for the most part sized by color.

Black/White cond mounted OT is correct.

Should be a Condenser mounted black/white orifice tube.

Start with the OE Spec on refrigerant, 36 ounces. Even being off a little can create odd issues.

Fittings pointing on the side should not be an issue. Just do not point downward.

A simple test light will work. Just need to see if and follow the power circuit. Make sure you have power to the clutch or if you have a PS, it has power to at least one side. If that is the case, could be refrigerant. You need a proper refrigerant level and power to the clutch. If not, time to trac...
