Re: High side line temp from comp thru condensor and up to h block
Hey Tim, don't wet the condenser like I wetted the wooden floor boards in my MG when they caught fire from the hot exhaust in the boon docks. Stinks! Condenser can be considered 3 different heat dissapators: 1) Top is desuperheater at decreasing gas only temps with sensible heat exchange without cha...

Re: A slightly differnt A/C system
sanden.com has TRSE07 scroll shown with 1KW at 1000rpm. Sanden semihermetic on Honda el vehicle has very small scroll. txv with low MOP (max operating pressure) to restrict mass flow during cool down may already be incorporated to limit power input. Isentropic efficiency for scroll at 1000 crpm is i...

Re: A slightly differnt A/C system
One concern is excessive oil quantity would increase running torque and reduce refrigerant mass flow. I was involved in copter application of scroll compressor where weight and el motor torque limits immediately rule out the 2 banger. Personally, I'd reduce weight 60% and increase isentropic efficie...

Re: High Head and Low Vaccum Press. Still - New EXP Valve and Condensor
The Delphi/GM scroll pressure spike phenomeon is under drag racing acceleration conditions with significant cool refrigerant mass accumulated downstream of the txv. The initial PRV refrigerant release due to fan failure could be part of the leak. Scroll comp develop some aluminum fines (gray refrige...

Re: 1997 Sebring 2.5L A/C warm (details inside)
One potential root cause is that the single discharge valve of the scroll compressor is not fully closing which allows warm high discharge gas in the rear discharge chamber to re enter the scroll area. This is referred to as wire drawing and could be foreign material under the valve seat, cracked di...

Maybe we could have fun w/ your 3D printer w/ a grill escutcheon for Tim (ACKITS.COM) and 3D hood ornaments for bohica2xo's compact PU ('Yote) and my F150 (Boar head w/ tusks).

Hi Mr. dogbone,
Since the A/C is unacceptable, I'll take it off your hands.

Re: GPD R4 scroll
The Trailblazer cooling with a TRSA105 scroll was great over 30 mph and barely acceptable at idle.
The TRSA90 is aprox 15 % less displacement, so the drive ratio is the final solution.

Smitties and underhood/firewall insulation might keep the rumble masked
