hi Finally found a system that is universal enough to work on almost any carburettor car . VS the Rochester unit which only functioned once u flicked the accel pedal which of course your engine might stall if equipped with performance cam .GM repackaged it as it was an idle stop solenoid originally....

hi Clean the evap ,and change the TXV while its all out . Cleaned the fleet vehicles every 60--80k miles . Most were at least partly covered in debris . Excessive long term dirty evap cores are far more likely to leak . Caused by excess moisture and any acid based chemicals on the air born debris .

hi low side freezing point temp is around the 28-30psi On your gauges commonly seen 20--40psi but usually 25---35 psi . hi 1/ charge/repair in shade ,but remember vehicle will operate in full sun 2/ a good air con should be able to operate with at least 1xdoor open if not all !!! 3/ yes always test a/con on recirculate 4/ & 5/ both blowers on medium speed 6 / pressures and temperature performance need checking at...

hi What people forget , any really experienced refrigeration mechanic absolutely HATE automotive . hi A 1 ton txv seems a little on the low side . Although the Tx is suppose to be matched to the size of evap . I would try a 1.5 ton valve. Aftermarket suppliers can have several different sizes of evap cores . Hoping u have not installed a unit thats to small . Lowering the high side pressure to be...
