Re: How to test EPR (evaporator pressure regulator)

hi Doubling the size of condenser in a standard size car unit will give fully charged high side of about 150psi -160 psi on a very hot day eg 100--110 f . RPM 1500rpm A partial charged system looks as if there is some thing wrong . U will see alot lower on an almost full charge especially on a 80F a...

Re: 1986 Corvette R-12 to R-134a Conversion

hi Always start with 90% going from R12 to R134a then charge according to pressures high /low expected for the system low around avg 28psi high side no more than 250psi but lower below 200 is ideal . If high side is around the 250 psi really needs more condenser and or fan txv system very full or cl...

Re: 1986 Volvo how much R134a into an R12 system?

hi R12 AT 220PSI = 145f R134A AT 245PSI = 145f evacuate /vacuum test charge till 80% by weight ,then try to get upto 100% not exceeding 245 psi . Over 230 is considered fairly high . look for compressor flooding ie suction getting very cold freezing ,this is real bad good vent temp subcool , [ going...
