Re: Procedure for Nissan Leaf
Dunno. I'd missed the part in the manual where it says that a replacement compressor comes preinstalled with 150ml of oil. 20ml supposedly remains inside after draining. It doesn't say anything about a special procedure. I suspect I should have just added 130ml rather than adding into various place...

Re: AC compressor leaking after change it
It seems unlikely to me that each of the compressors leaked in the exact same place. That being said, if you still have one of the compressors installed, remove the clutch assembly to see whether the front seal is actually leaking and not one of the compressor's three seams or the Pressure Relief Va...

Memorial Day
Today, let us commemorate all those departed souls who made the Ultimate Sacrifice in defense of our country and freedoms.
As directed by the President in memory of those killed in Uvalde, Texas, our flag is at half staff, which the thin black banner denotes.

Re: AC compressor leaking after change it
Are all of them rebuilt compressors? Often, problems like that happen with "rebuilts"—unfortunately, only after installation, evacuation, and charging.

I originally thought that you could get the dye in before putting the car back in service. But since you won't have the kit for several days yet, injecting the dye later through the low-side port is fine.

Re: Leak
I wonder whether one or both bores in the new condenser, into which the lines fit, are machined a little too shallow, creating a similar problem to what Cusser discovered.
OP, Cusser has already suggested comparing the depth of the bores in the old and new condensers to ascertain. I agree.

Re: Procedure for Nissan Leaf
Since it doesn't appear I can rotate I assume pouring all 150ml of oil into the compressor is a bad idea (slug). Presuming that the factory does it that way on the assembly line, it might not be a bad idea. If it works for the factory, ... . So I should distribute the oil into various parts. Compre...

Re: Leak
I can’t tell if that flange on the high line is crushed any. In the second photo, it does look like the flange is deformed, and the o-ring looks rather thin for the groove (in the line) into which it fits. Are you sure it's the correct o-ring? Replacing that high pressure line is not feasible. If t...
