Re: 2014 Land Cruiser AC Problem

Do you have gauges? I would be curious to see what pressures you are seeing. Would take a lot of the guess work out. My new thought is simply air flow/condenser efficiency. Low speed = low air flow = higher high side pressures, possibly so high to send a too high pressure signal to the ecu, which in...

Re: 2013 Sentra AC problem. Compressor turns on but high pressure = low pressure

like cusser said, also make sure you are getting a good connection with your quick connectors on the service ports and that both the knobs on the quick connector are turned fully CLOCKWISE. and make sure both knobs on your manifold gauge set itself are closed when checking pressures. If you look und...

Re: 1999 Mack MR688S inefficiency

Is the return line from the evap back to the compressor cold? If so could be a reheating/blend door type issue. Where either the air isn't fully directed over the evap or air is going through the heater core at some point. Make sure if you have a heater core valve its fully shut and not returning ho...

Re: Don't know how much oil I lost

call me lazy, but i would eye up how much it lost, add that, plus another ounce or so for good measure. I highly doubt you would have an oil related issue, provided you weigh in the correct amount of charge and everything else is working right. Save your self a ton of work, time, money and frustrati...

Re: 2011 Acadia Discharge Hose Replacement

Refrigerant spraying into the interior can only happen if the evaporator or lines going to it has a leak and has ruptured, or if the seals between your expansion valve (txv) and evaporator are leaking. I'm assuming it has a txv on the interior, some cars have it mounted on the engine side of the fir...

Re: 2014 Land Cruiser AC Problem

You know how the clutch gets sucked in towards the compressor pulley when the a/c turns on? Try hitting/tapping/pushing it with a broom handle or something towards the pulley, to try to "help it" pull itself in. BE CAREFUL you are poking around with pulleys and belts. I'm thinking you have...

Re: Honda Accord compressor BLOCK OFF PLATE seal?

Just as an update to my own thread-The block off plate pictured has a standard sized o ring sandwiched underneath it, I forgot the size but the all inclusive kit has many that size already included. Its not a special seal or anything so replace it without hesitation!

Honda Accord compressor BLOCK OFF PLATE seal?

Hello, Car: 2001 Honda Accord 3.0 coupe 10S17C compressor. I have one of the supposedly "all inclusive" o-ring kits from 4seasons kit # 26744. While I have the system open, I want to replace all the o ring connections under the hood including whatever seal is under the block off plate with...
