Re: Poor cooling - diagnosing weak compressor or a TXV

You are lucky the evap is not covered by a mat of doghair.

Flushing and blow drying with shop air is a whole different story, Shop air is LOADED with moisture. I have ...

Re: 2007 Ford F350 AC issues.

Just for the record, a vac time of 30 min is never enough. Moisture will not boil off until 29.9, and once you hit that number, it takes time to get all the water vapor out. Not sure why people rush this important step. The better the vac the better the system will run, and the longer it will run, d...

Re: 1998 Frontier

OK, JOhn, here are the numbers from my hot swap schrader tool (had to retrieve it from my nephew) The ID of the adapters and the body is about .265....ie just a tad over .250 I just measured the diameter of a common so-called standard schrader core (designed for a standard 1/4 flare fitting) with di...

Re: Yellow charge hose questions

Once some of our racer friends learned that Miles and I were not going to service 1234yf cars, they actually sold their daily drivers and got used cars that were still 134a. Have no fear, in a couple of years the EPA will ban 1234yf and come out with another refrigerant....they like to play with the...
