Low side pressure switch on your accumulator is bad-- it should cycle off the compressor at about 22 psi and back on at about 28 psi or so. I agree- next time "clutch stops working" get out of the truck and find a way to bump the front hub (clutch) of the compressor- chances are really good it will snap in and start working. This is a sure sign of a "too wide air gap"- Fix it by removing the clutch, and removing the ...

Why not just put a good cap on it with a good rubber seal? The "ball" is designed to only seal long enough to attach a gage set without blowing out the charge. I test my leak detector on the uncapped port to see if it is working, then I cap it off and there is no leak found with the detect...

HPRV otherwise known as High Pressure Relief Valve. It is a safety valve to release refrigerant if indeed the HPCO High Pressure Cut-Off switch does not shut off compressor.
