Re: Nissan Altima 2016 ac problem
1) The manual control valve bleeds gas to control the crankcase pressure to change the differential pressure across the underside of the piston verses the piston top which in turn changes the swashplate cam angle or stroke and refrigerant mass flow. Early versions had internal filters which would ...

Re: Old school ac
Syria could be a hot place to grow up. I designed and tested and trained retro fit installers for military a/c for Iraq at MIL spec 130 deg F ambient using Coriolis flow meters for refrigerant side capacity calculations..

Time will tell if you are better off having ignored advice to get a genuine SD7H15 from Tim at A/C Kits?

Re: 2006 Civic DX AC not working
Dead reckoning for computer think:
1) charge is too low or high causing abnormally high discharge gas temp. Yes, scroll system low charge results in high temp discharge as charge is lost down to aprox. 12%,
2) fans not working
3) limp home mode over ride due to drive line problem or radiator temp.

Re: Compressor shelf life?
York shelf life is influenced by the position of the comp during storage. The box is marked to store with the shaft face down so that the face type shaft seal is immersed in oil. The compressor is shipped with a holding charge which should remain. The old spec mineral oil has much more tolerance for ...

Re: Can PAG and mineral coexist in old R12 system?
g'day mate,
PAG in R-12 system?
GM brochure GM-0011 indicates that removal of mineral oil during retrofit (mostly paraffinic in GM's case) is not recommended. Long story short, GM/USA avoids residual flush. OEMs are not all in agreement.
Mineral oil and R-134a are far apart on the polar compatible ...

Re: SD7H15 enhanced as direct replacement?
SD7H15 Enhanced provides 12% better cooling by opening suction an discharge valves wider and also reducing re expansion of gas left in cylinder at TDC before suction down stroke. My original goal was to provide better cooling for diesel sleeper cab big rigs and off road vehicles. This model is 10 ...

Re: Mini compressor/less CID output?
I'd modify your Impala OEM AC to only use recirculated air (not 20% OSA) and a additional 100% hot heater water shut off in Max AC mode. Then your OEM AC would work as good as a Vintage Air HVAC replacement.
