Re: 2010 GMC Sierra cycling strange pressure readings

4 lbs????? sounds like an old suburban dual air----A sierra should be at about 2 lbs-- if no rear evaporator/single system- where is OT? in condenser outlet? or inline in front of evaporator

Re: Ford E6DH compressor

If you are flushing with anything other than refrigerant- then that is most likely your problem. Aftermarket flushing agents are degreasers- and you have to get all the flushing agent out of your system! Merely purging with air, or extended vacuums foes not do this. Your evap and condensers have ...

Re: weird Intermittent problem

Air comes out vents (only) when accelerating? Do you have vacuum controls for air doors in HVAC box? or electric controls? Yr make and model of car would give us more hints

Re: Micron gauge

Tee it into your vacuum pump- anything below 500 microns is excellent--but it all depends on your vacuum pump's ability to pull a good vacuum- you can always deadhead the micron gauge directly into the vacuum pump to test the pump only- and its ability to pull a good vacuum- some vacuum pumps are ...

Re: Why aren't V7s used everywhere?

V-7s and V-5 need to be mounted with control valve at 6 o'clock or near that-- 5 to 7 o'clock will work-- it is for oil splash inside the crankcase. A V-5 will do as good as the V-7 in my opinion. I have seen too many V-7s run low on charge and burn up inside on the S truck application-- I usually ...

Re: 1997 Suburban

Your OEM accumulator has the oil part number on the label- google it and see specifications.

The oil won't go in the discharge hole of the compressor (the small one) there is not enough room in that cavity-- but it will all go in the suction port- the larger port (and pipe) there should be an "S ...

Re: High side line temp from comp thru condensor and up to h block

If the condenser s doing its job the temp should drop from inlet to outlet-- thus "condensing" occurs-- that is why it is set up to have air blown across it- to cool the refrigerant inside that allows it to change state- from a gas to liquid....if there were no cooling- there would be hot gas ...

Re: Gaskets are wrong?

A new service compressor uses 134a port configuration- which needs to be adapted back to r-12 hose manifold as is yours...so you use the sealing washers in your kit- never use the aluminum port locators-(metal stubs you called them) (sleeves) in the kit- I have been doing a/c for 25 yrs and have ...

I hope you pull adequate vacuum first--and you always charge by weight- not pressures in automotive a/c....so don't ask for pressure specs- there are none...just opinions

Re: 1994 Chevy 1500 AC clutch clicking on and off

One can is 12 ounces- your truck holds 2 lb or 32 ounces- so you need almost 3 cans. You have trouble getting the first can all in because it is almost empty- put another can on, then another and be happy. The compressor will suck refrigerant in and stop cycling so rapidly when you get enough "freon ...
