1)It is a 2009 Renault Megane 3, 1.4 gas engine (I am in Portugal) so not US Spec. 154,000 km.
2) Yes, the compressor runs all the time, there is no magnetic clutch.
3)The compressor is very noisy. Noisier when AC is off than when on. The noise goes away ...
