Re: Oil and gas mixed together?

The oil is diluted and loses much of it's lubricating properties depending on how much gas is mixed in. If only a little it won't matter as it'll soon vapourise.

Re: Cleaning out an old A6

Need proper equipment.
For roughly $80 plus coolant, most A/C companies will flush and replenish your system. It's either that or spend a lot of money on expensive equipment to do it properly.

Never seen any shop do a "proper" flush for $80.00.

Re: hose seals

It can easily be solved by replacing the seal. But it is true that at isolation, a straight leak line appears curved due to the logarithmic scale. With typical vacuum gauges, there is no way to definitively tell the difference between a real and virtual leak.

Re: New AC Compressor failed

I see guys on U-Tube, using shop air and a soap bottle to find leaks in Auto AC Units.

Thoughts?
Shop air unless used with a paint regulator will induce moisture to the system.

Re: A/C controls

You can follow the below steps Step 1: Refrigerant in a gas form is compressed by the A/C compressor which runs off a belt, compressing the gas into a high-pressure state Step 2: This refrigerant then enters a condenser – a heat exchanger normally placed in front of the radiator - where it changes s...

Re: A/C blowing hot air

The thermostat may have been accidentally set to “heat.” If this is the case, it’s easy to fix on your own. Flip the thermostat setting back to “cool” and see if the air conditioner begins to blow cool air again. Additionally, you want to make sure that the batteries are working and that the tempera...
