1976 Buick Electra

Working on this Buick Electra. Been converted to r134a from r12. It has a VIR on it. It was working fine then it has an intermittent condition where it goes vacuum on low and stays normal on the high. -20 and 200. I think either the VIR has a problem or the office tube. Where is the orfice located? ...

Re: Same issue on 2 different cars!

So I now have a 3rd car. Hyundai Santa Fe 2004. Has pressures of 30/240. On this car the high side line is hot but the low side is not cold at all. I am at a loss to figure it out. The expansion device is working because I am getting a pressure drop. But something is wrong.

Re: Same issue on 2 different cars!

I can gladly do that. I have charged several vehicles in between these and no problems. But I do have another scale and I can rezero it. My machine had a process to zero and verify the scale accuracy.

Same issue on 2 different cars!

I do a lot of ac work on the side. I have 2 vehicles that have the same exact issue. Both have perfect pressures 40 / 200. Very similar on both. I have verified correct charge amount with my robinair machine. Car 1 had a leaky condenser so I changed it. But both cars have great pressures but terribl...

Re: 1999 Mack MR688S inefficiency

This is weird as I have been dealing with this problem for over a year. I found the problem but it was not what I thought! I worked on a ford car yesterday and the condenser fan was unplugged. The high side went close to 400. On my truck the high side was normal around 200-250. Yesterday my Mack’s f...

1999 Mack MR688S inefficiency

I have a truck that is not cooling properly. I have an ac machine so recovery is no big deal. I have made sure it had a new reciever dryer, replaced a couple of old crummy looking hoses, new expansion valve, and a new condenser as the old one was leaking also a new belt. I made sure it was under vac...
