Re: STRANGE ISSUE NEED HELP!

First thing I'd do, as already suggested, is to recover the charge and see what it weighs. If it's low, the system probably has a leak somewhere.

The high pressure seems a bit low to me, further suggesting a low charge.

I'd look up the specs for you, but I'm traveling outside the USA right now and ...

Re: 2008 Tundra strange (to me) issue

If you're charging by pressures instead of by weight, you've most likely overcharged the system, causing the safety valve to vent refrigerant.

Re: What causes AC blockage

If the receiver/dryer came apart internally and sent desiccant beads downstream, lodging at the TXV, you would see very low pressure on the low side, or even see the low side pull into a vacuum.

Re: Honda Accord AC leak

Using a pair of UV goggles and special light in a darkened garage, if you see traces of dye coming from the condenser, you'll have to replace it, along with the receiver/dryer, which might be integral with the condenser.

Likewise, if you see dye coming from the mating surfaces of the "peanut ...

Re: 2004 F-150 Heritage AC

I removed the two caps from both ports and depressed one of the schrader valves and got absolutely nothing.
I pulled a vacuum for 45 minutes. It went to just below 30 in a matter of one minute. What does that tell you?
Within 3.5 hours it had gotten to 20.
The system has a leak...somewhere. It ...

I also got this from JeepAir which is the company I got the parts from:
"That system uses a binary switch which is not a clutch cycling switch. A binary switch is a high and low safety cut off switch. It closes the circuit to the compressor (shuts off) if the high or low goes outside it's normal ...

Re: Ford Excursion V10: Parallel Flow Condenser & Charge Issues

What year is your vehicle, and how many miles has it logged? Have you replaced the fan clutch lately?

It has been mentioned on this Forum in the past that older-style condensers have about the same capacity as the parallel-flow type. If that theory holds true, it would make the system undercharged ...

Re: 2012 chevy impala 3.6 no ac

I agree with the previous post.

Did you replace the oil in the salvage yard compressor, and what did the old oil look like?

In addition, with a variable-displacement compressor like you have, a system sometimes resists installing refrigerant unless it's under maximum heat load and the compressor ...

Re: Seeking Help in Troubleshooting AC

No, I was not revving the engine up when charging. That's not something I've had do with other vehicles so I didn't think about that.
Run the engine at about 1,800 RPM with the A/C system turned on while charging it. If everything is working as it should, the compressor will engage and draw-in ...

Re: 2004 F-150 Heritage AC

My initial plan was to replace the complete ac system because of the age. I have a brother in law that can get all the parts at a super price. My only problem is the evaporator. That will be a real pita to replace. I would flush it but I don’t know if my compressor is big enough to accomplish that ...
