Suggestion board?? Pages: 12

jbrooks26 on Mon June 28, 2004 7:42 PM User is offline

Hey guys, I have thought of one nice improvement that could be made to this board and I am sure that many of you may have others. I don't know what kind of work it would take, and there is no way that I could probably help but I thought I would throw these out there anyway. Would it be possible to create a suggestion box to add to the other 5 boards? I personally would like to see an option for e-mail notification when a post has been responded to. Many other sites offer this, I think BATAUTO is one of them. This is extremely handy when trying to follow a specific post. Just my suggestion, like I said I don't know if it is doable or not. What do you guys think?

Josh

All you have to do is subscribe to a certain post of select the forum notification in your profile. I get an email for every single post made. Not sure I follow the suggestion box idea.

Ok, I will try the subscribe option. My thought on the suggestion box would be to add one more forum where people could make improvement suggestions and such. I read earlier about possibly adding a FAQ for vacuum problems. I think I read it in one of NickD's responses to I NEED HELP in the General forum. Anyway, things of this nature. Just to kind of organize the wealth of different ideas out there. I have seen this done on several other message boards that I have visited over the years. Hopefully I have clarified this. Thanks,

Josh

If anyone has something they think should be in the tips or FAQ forums all they need to do is email me or post it in the thread. There are only a couple of us that can add items to those forums as the first time I set it up every one keep making replies to the posts so it lost its value.

Ok, It was just an Idea that I had. I don't have to keep it up and I know that you all volunteer your time and I think that is great. Keep up the good work, the knowledge base here is unrivaled. Thanks

MR Bill it looks as though you are getting to old for these neat gadgets. I don't remember what format that was but it does need to be in the formats listed.

Hey Tim,

I to have tried to upload an image recently and found that the "upload image" button didn't work for me. Also "spell check" and "preview" have not worked recently. Got any answers?

Hold down the control & alt keys and then select the refresh icon. You have an old page cached in you system memory. If that does not work which it should go to azmobileair.com. That's our old domain which still redirects back to all the information on our server.

If we had a suggestion box, we could put in a suggestion that we get a suggestion box, but since we don't have a suggestion box, guess we can't put a suggestion in to get a suggestion box. But if we had a suggestion box, wouldn't need it anyway, because why suggest we need a suggestion box when we already have one?

IE 6.0 works fine on this site, but it seems to be vulnerable, my son hit a site and got that "about blank" worm, it pops up the same old you got spyware on your computer and list a number of sites to buy spyware removal software and that add pops up whenever you go to a new link. I have not found a way to remove this worm outside of reformat and load in your backup. Using IE 6 is tantamount to taking a short cut on the wrong side of a firing range, works fine, if you don't mind getting shot at.

LOL, Tim is in reality a great guy, but some precautions have to be taken to keep his head from swelling.

Be nice now, only time my head swells is when I have to hear another Bravada story. Did you old timers figure out what "YOU" were doing wrong yet?

You have to log in and click on that remember me thing or whatever it's called, ackits will put a cookie on your computer so the next time you open this site, you will be "in." But if you go to another computer without a cookie, then you have to log in again. If you keep on clicking remember me on a bunch of computers, your cookies will be all over the place.

Ha, if GM did it right on that Bravada, I wouldn't have to.

The image upload works for me! But then again I'm using a windows machine and IE. The problem is you have an old page cached or are not using a correct file format. Send me the image and I'll fix it for you. I mean I'll check and see what's going on.

There are a lot of people that use the site as an Anonymous poster.
