Q45 refrigerant oil

Drake57 on Thu September 10, 2015 2:22 PM User is offline

Year: 1992
Make: infi
Model: q45
Engine Size: 4500cc
Refrigerant Type: R134a

I'm replacing dryer on 92 Q45 that has been retrofitted with compressor from AMA about 5 years ago. System cools well, compressor is quiet. It seems likely that drier will hold some oil, I plan on weighing it, comparing with weight of new, then replacing that much oil.

I do not remember oil type. I think the compressor came with oil, the oil that I've seen in system is dyed bright green.

Is PAG100 the recommended oil?

Thanks, Anthony.

I think back then they were R12 systems. If so, you're probably better off using Bava ester oil if the vehicle was converted.
