AC problems 2008 Ford focus

Focus2008 on Sun August 16, 2015 9:16 PM User is offline

Year: 2008
Make: Ford
Model: Focus
Country of Origin: United States

My AC recently started blowing hot on the driver side while it still blows ice cold on the passenger side. The acutators have been replaced thinking that might be the issue but it didn't fix it. Any ideas or suggestions on what the pro lem might be would be much appreciated! Thanks!

If the ford focus does not have dual air controls- which I doubt it does....then refrigerant charge level is highly suspect-- A half charge can behave this way- recover and weigh refrigerant and compare to underhood specification- see if you are low...

-------------------------
The number one A/C diagnostic tool there is- is to know how much refrigerant is in the system- this can only be done by recovering and weighing the refrigerant!!
Just a thought.... 65% of A/C failures in my 3200 car diagnostic database (GM vehicles) are due to loss of refrigerant due to a leak......
