Arctic freeze

Jamesbond on Fri July 31, 2015 4:01 AM User is offline

Year: 2000
Make: Chevy
Model: Express
Engine Size: 5.7
Refrigerant Type: R134a
Country of Origin: United States

I put a can of Arctic freeze in. I have a 2Lb capacity and I put in 12 ounces.
I read some members do not like it.
I usually don't believe in claims of miracle cures.

Truck has about 112,000 miles.
Should I have it pulled out then put a vacume and refill

Does it take years to kill system or does it do it quickly?

Maybe I should leave it in for now and then next year take system apart.
I have to go for a rebuilt compressor new hoses and orifice tube.

Thank you

Was stuck in traffic more than 2 hrs. Dark colored vehicle soaked up the heat. Could not take much more of the heat and humidity.
H freight tools was on my way. Should have figured it was not good. That is all they had. I put it in the parking lot.
I put a can in and it got somewhat cool for return trip. Still needed more so next day I put a few more ounces of regular 134a.

Afraid of what it is going to do over time and how long I have before I have to take it apart.

Thank you
