Recover and weigh the refrigerant in your system- it is most likely half of what needs to be in there-- this is a common problem that causes half of the evaporator to be warm. If true- then find and fix your leak and recharge to factory spec.

-------------------------
The number one A/C diagnostic tool there is- is to know how much refrigerant is in the system- this can only be done by recovering and weighing the refrigerant!!
Just a thought.... 65% of A/C failures in my 3200 car diagnostic database (GM vehicles) are due to loss of refrigerant due to a leak......

Thanks for reply..never thought of that.
Is it also possible that there is left/right door that could be in the evap case? Could the system have been used with both a non-automatic system with no left/right adjustment and an auto or optional system with left/right temp adjustment. If this is not the case I will definitely try what you say. Thanks again for info

They don't add doors if they don't need them.....

You could run for a while then check the evaporator outlet pipe under the hood. It should be good and cold. If it is warm like the right side vents are, you know that the whole evaporator is not getting cold.
