Year: 2004
Make: toyota
Model: sienna mimi van
Engine Size: 3.6
Refrigerant Type: acpro
Ambient Temp: 83
Pressure Low: ?
Pressure High: ?
Country of Origin: United States

Hi guys

AC playing up - cold-ish up front, like a hair dryer at the back - just recharged with a whole can of ACPRO - ambient temp was 83 but the gauge on the tin only got to about 75. Compressor engaging fine - any ideas?

The video for ACPRO said Don't Overcharge and showed the guy not using a full can - I used the whole lot - it seems I could have used a couple of tins...

No idea what low and high side readings are, don't even know where or how to find them

Also when I first turn the AC on I get a bad dusty smell - not sure if this means anything but you may know better... Maybe its just dirty air filter I dunno...

Air coming out hotter than ambient is going to be because the heater core did not shut off.

Try and feel the lines under the van coming from the rear unit back to under the hood. One of them should be cold. If the line is cold but the air is not you have a situation of the heater not turning off.

Don't mess with the refrigerant system any more without proper tools.
