Hello,
Does anyone know the low and high side pressures for a 97 Buick Regal LS with dual air conditioning?
I am in South Florida and the temps get anywhere from 80 - 90 farhenheit. Thanks.
George
Varies according to load-- normally the control valve tries to hold at 27-32 psi low side if 80 degrees or lower--high side depends on cooling fan speeds-low fan kicks on at around 175psi and high fan near 275 psi--if hotter than 80, then low side can go up accordingly-- the on ly way to know is to be sure the specified refrigerant charge amount is in the system- extract and weigh it to be sure-- V-5 compressors are know for shaft seal leaks and belly leaks.

The number one A/C diagnostic tool there is- is to know how much refrigerant is in the system- this can only be done by recovering and weighing the refrigerant!!
Just a thought.... 65% of A/C failures in my 3200 car diagnostic database (GM vehicles) are due to loss of refrigerant due to a leak......
