The manifold for my a/c has what appears to be a pressure relief. My stealershop's mechanic wanted to replace the compressor. I pulled a vacuum doe to below 30 for an hour and it held for over 5 minutes. I added refrigerant and found the leak from the relief valve. What do you think is the most likely cause? I think a 14 year old valve just got old. Are parts in it replaceable? Or just reads the entire manifold hose unit?
Many relief valves are available. I don;t see it listed on any of or vender's sites. But if you could take an image and post the thread pitch I bet we can find one for you. Ford parts may give you the Motorcraft number which we could cross also.
Relief valves can go bad. But they usually blow from high head pressures. Which gets back to our discussion on debris in the system or a faulty fan clutch. Glad to see you're digging into this and getting to the cause of the issue.

O tube looks ugly. Will need to order the whole 9 yards. I could attach a picture but I don't see how to do so.
