Model: Civic
Engine Size: 2.4
Refrigerant Type: 134a
Country of Origin: United States

Hello. I have a 2004 civic that I'm in the process of doing a swap along with that in putting in a super charger and I have to remove my ac compressor I was looking for a way to remotely run my ac compressor and fabricate lines any suggestions the only space I have to mount the compressor would be in the trunk I was wondering if there is an electric compressor available or an electric motor I can put in that will run on 12v to run the compressor with a belt.

It will never work-totally inefficient- needs to run off engine with a belt- or not at all.

The number one A/C diagnostic tool there is- is to know how much refrigerant is in the system- this can only be done by recovering and weighing the refrigerant!!
Just a thought.... 65% of A/C failures in my 3200 car diagnostic database (GM vehicles) are due to loss of refrigerant due to a leak......

You won't get enough power from the alternator to run an electric compressor. Running multi-hp motors on a 12 volt system just is not practical.
