525 mineral oil?

Can I use "regular" drugstore mineral oil instead of "525" mineral oil, on the green o-rings in the ac fittings during reassembly?

You should be using a product called "Nylog". Drugstore mineral oil is not the same as 525 AC mineral oil that was used in R12 systems.

That's true but even the manufactures of Nylog has stated in a HVAC forum that when it comes to using red or blue Nylog on "O" rings the amount is so small, it doesn't really matter.

I have always read that you can use dialectric grease on the O-rings too. I have used it several times without issue

I DO have some dielectric grease. I suppose I'll use that.

Make sure you use it sparingly. The grease is pretty thick and easy to accidentally let "scoop" into the hard line you're putting the o-ring over. So if that happens you obviously want to wipe it out with a clean blue/shop towel or something before putting the line together.
