Year: 2001
Make: Ford
Model: Taurus
Engine Size: 3.0
Refrigerant Type: R134
Country of Origin: United States

I have a 2001 Taurus that I think has a bad AC Compreesor. A charge didn't last. There is dye all arong the Compressor.

I have an FS10 compressor that was for a 1993 Explorer that is a rebuilt which I bought years ago that I never used.

It looks the same except I checked the Clutch/pulley dimessions. The Tauras has a 115mm or 4.5" Pulley and 1993 has a 127mm or 5" Pulley.

I assume the Mnt. Dist. To Groove1 Midpoint:2" is the same

Can I use the comressor from the 1993 Explorer if not will I have swap the clutch assembley?

If all the mounting and connections work. You pump will turn slower so it will be a little less efficient. You may also need a longer belt.
