A/C hose and beadlock sizing questions

James89dx on Wed April 01, 2015 1:23 PM User is offline

Trying to make a custom suction hose, I have a compressor side fitting with the hardline fitting of .64" outside diameter (right outside the beadlock). The fitting on the opposite end of what will hopefully be this new suction hose has an outside diameter of .57".

I guess my question is, what is the acceptable "range" of hardline sizes vs barrier hose? For example, in my situation above, are both of these fittings considered to be #10 barrier hose? Or is the .64" one considered to be #12 and the .57" one considered to be #10? Meaning - in that case, that I will need to use the compressor side fitting and go with #12 hose, then buy a #12 hose to #10 fitting beadlock adapter to use on the non-compressor end.

Thanks
