Receiver Dryer Location?

91boz on Thu February 05, 2015 10:54 PM User is offline

Year: 2007
Make: Toyota
Model: Tacoma
Engine Size: 2.7
Refrigerant Type: R134

I understand that the receiver dryer is located inside the condenser unit. I need to replace a leaky condenser so I assume that the dryer is built into the new condenser or do I have to order it separately? Part is a Denso 477-839.
Also I noticed that the fittings going into the firewall to the evaporator has what looks like a clamp and not the normal screw fittings. Is there a special tool for this? When did they start using this type of connections in the AC lines?

Drier is part of the condenser and looks to me not a replaceable item. So replacement of the condenser will be needed. I can offer a replacement condenser for $71.41 plus freight. You may also need the Toyota Spring lock tool for the connection on the suction line.
