In preparing to replace the A/C compressor on my 1991 Honda Accord, I scanned the entire system with a U/V light for leaks. Found the leak, as expected, at the compressor seal. But also saw a scattering of small fluorescent dots (1mm to 3mm diameter) over the front of the condenser. Given the large number of yellow dots spread over a wide area, does anyone know if that could possibly be residue from insects? Or is it the yellow dye? I'm inclined to think the 23 year-old condenser has developed very fine leaks, but just wanted to be sure.
