Question about stop leak and recovery machines

Country of Origin: United States

I've often heard that stop leak products cause issue for recovery machines and was wondering if you can tell me if this is true. I can see where they would but then I see 10 different types of refrigerant with stop leak on the shelves at every walmart so it seems that if this stuff did mess up your recovery machines there wouldn't be an operational one left in the country. Inquiring minds want to know!

I use a special filter inline before the recovery machine. There are a few different types of stop leak. I don't trust any of them.

Read the article this link puts you to, Stop leak or at least look at the pictures. Not worth the risk IMO.

I bought a can of 134a at w**-mart that had a stop leak, oil, and dye in it. It also had a hose and a gauge, so now I'm an AC pro!
