Refrigerant Type: R-12
When I worked on my car last year, I forgot to wrap insulation around the expansion valve sensing bulb. I would think that the bulb getting too hot from sensing the nearby air would trick evaporator into thinking super heat is much higher than it really is and cause the expansion valve to open further.
This reduces subcooling as well as increase evaporator pressure and cause the vent temperature to rise.
Does my theory sound just?
