koolkare equipment

Hello everyone.. I recently attained a snapon koolkare EEAC320A, it appears the machine thinks a tank is not present when it is.. I'm guessing the scale on the machine is broke.. Does anyone know if this scale is interchangeable with out manufacturers or must I order this part through snapon.. I'm not looking to spend much to get this machine back up and running.. I just replaced the compressor oil, and master filter..

This machine is old and does not meet the recharge standards for todays vehicle. Not sure if buying parts and attempting to rebuild this machine is worth the time and expenditures. New machines, yes they do cost more, are able to recharge to within 1/2 oz of OE specs. These older machines will not meet these spec's and as charge rate amount continues to decrease, this inability to properly charge the system will become more important.
Search for a machine that meets the current standards, J2788.

I agree with iceman2555 100%, but if you are determined to fix it, maybe for resale?? it's made by Sun and you can get a parts manual here..
