Hello, I'm trying to get the AC going on my 91 Ford Mustang with a 302. I noticed the new drier I bought, has a bit of a different fitting as the one I took off. The original fitting is like a "L" meaning part(approx half) of the hose goes further into the compressor, and the compressor female side is machined like this. The new drier fitting is flush(doesn't have half going further into the compressor) Will this work? It's almost like I need to cut off that extra piece from the old and wedge it into the compressor female side to make it flush so it fits snugly on the oring. Does this make any sense?
