As the topic says , I have a leak in the compressor , looks to be where the rear housing mates with the center section .
I first tried to use red dye to find the leak . No luck . I then tried yellow / green dye and bought the UV kit with the little pen lite flashlight and yellow plastic glasses . That worked .
I see kits with black o-rings and green o-rings . Is this an issue , either way ? I have read that green o-rings are better , for refrigeration / HVAC ? But I see black o-rings used in the 1990 cars ?
Debating whether to buy an o-ring kit and repair it or buy another compressor ?
If I buy a compressor , I see that I can choose from AC Delco , Delphi , Denso and several other brands . Any brands I should stay away from ?
I suspect this question has been asked before ? I apologies , but did not figure out how to word / do such a search ?
Thanks , :-)

God bless
