Year: 1970
Make: chevrolet
Model: el camino
Engine Size: 402
I just installed a rebuilt 402 big block(automatic) with headers and mild cam in my 70 el Camino replacing the stock 350 small block with stock radiator. The engine is cooling in the 190 range and that is without the soon to be re-installed AC in hot Florida. I am also getting some additional heat in the interior of the car.
So, what radiator? I don't want to spend a gazzillion dollars on some fancy radiator just one that will cool it down a bit more. I don't mind spending $500 bucks but would rather not if $300 or $400 will do the trick. Alluminum would be nice but at what cost and do I really need to save five pounds, etc. for an everyday car that will not see the track?
Ground up has this for $300 bucks + shipping:

Napa has this for $340 including tx and shipping:

Summit for $300 + shipping:

RockAuto for $375 plus shipping:

And the list goes on but what do you guys recommend in this or near price selection? Plastic in some of the above but is that really a huge problem?
