Wondering if anyone else has attempted to install a kit in this car. The evap looks to be a formidable install problem. There's NO room to work in the footwells. Any hints as to how to mate the evap and the blower motor to the center vent console would help a lot. Currently I am disassembling the dash assembly to get at the center vent assy and move it slightly so as to get the clearance to slip the evap/blower motor assy in. I really hate to do that but if there is no other way I will.
Thanks.
Bill

1996 Geo Metro A/C installation agony.
Should be a simple task removing the transition duct and sliding the evap housing in place.

I think that you take the glove box out for access. Remove all contents, unscrew the hinges at the bottom, the pop the latch and remove it completely from the car. Most Asian cars of that era were designed that way so the A/C could be easily fitted at the dealer before selling the car. There was a big tax advantage importing the car without A/C then adding value in the USA.
