New condensor

Jetboy55 on Tue July 31, 2012 12:58 PM User is offline

Year: 1996
Make: Plymouth
Model: Neon
Engine Size: 2.0 SOHC
Refrigerant Type: R134a
Ambient Temp: 85
Pressure Low: 34
Pressure High: 425
Country of Origin: United States

Now that I have a new TXV, reciever/drier, and seals.....and I fixed my electrical problem with bad wire......I found my condensor is leaking. Now I must consider replacing it. Any suggestions on best retailer for price for a new one? I saw one by "American Condensors" on autopartswarehouse.com for $87 with free shipping, should I get that one? I really dont have the money for this, but I hate to stop now (see my other post for what I've done so far). Im also looking for the high pressure switch pressure values for this car. I found a description of a Murray?? switch from autopartswarehouse.com that says its 450 off and 360 on. Does that sound right? Thanks for any help.

Only you can decide what to buy---but be sure it is the condenser before purchase...

The number one A/C diagnostic tool there is- is to know how much refrigerant is in the system- this can only be done by recovering and weighing the refrigerant!!
Just a thought.... 65% of A/C failures in my 3200 car diagnostic database (GM vehicles) are due to loss of refrigerant due to a leak......

I know I have to make the ultimate decision on what to buy, I was just asking where I might find the best price, someplace reputable, and any suggestions on reputable manufacturers? Thanks again.
